Why You Shouldn’t Use AdBlock

We get it. You don’t like ads. Who does? We would like to explain why these advertisements are a key factor in the function of Redtube.

ad block blog

The content provided to our users is free to view. In order to provide this content we sell ad space. The revenue generated through the ads is used to pay for servers, bandwidth, staff and all the things that keep Redtube up and running.  More than that, Redtube plays a big part in the ongoing production of porn films.  The sites/studios that are creating all this great content you love provide videos to Redtube in exchange for ad placement.  In the image to the right you can see an example of a video from PassionHD and the accompanying banner.  These targeted ads are a major source of revenue for the studios.  If no one sees these banners and no one signs up, these studios go out of business.  This is the ecosystem of porn.  Everything trickles down and if you believe that using Adblock has no consequences you couldn’t be more wrong.  Please support us by disabling Adblock.

Below you can find instructions on how to remove Adblock entirely or to selectively disable it.

In order to uninstall AdBlock and bring your browser back to it’s default functionality you must remove the extension entirely. Please perform the following steps:

If you would like to keep the extension but disable the feature for Redtube it can be done in 3 easy steps.

Step 1- Visit the website.
Step 2- To allow ads on this site, click the downward arrow on the AdBlock icon.
Step 3- You now have 3 options:

  1. “Display on”  This option will allow ads anywhere on the website.
  2. “Disable on this page”  This will only allow ads on this specific page. However, ads will still be blocked on the other pages belonging to the website.
  3. “Disable Everywhere” This option will completely disable AdBlock until you choose to turn it on again.

While some may find it hard to believe, a lot of time is spent validating advertisers and their offers. A whole team of people is employed to approve campaigns and reject those that aren’t legitimate.

i thought to turn it off after reading this post. but it is a good point about 1) malware and 2) pop ups.

i’m actually worried to “try it out” because i’m not aware of the screening that goes behind point 1. point 2 is just an outdated way of advertising that i don’t agree should exist (it’s intrusive).

take this post for what it’s worth. maybe you have a response to 1 and 2!

    i just came

I will not turn ad block off just because you ask me. Ads are annoying, and most often infecting malware that self-download after they pop up when I clearly had no intention to open them. Besides I am 100% sure I do not wish to pay for porn in any manner since porn is and should always be free. That being said you ask me to turn off ad block JUST so I could see your banners and maybe decide to buy stuff. Well, with ad block off, I’ll just ignore them, since I dont wish to pay for porn. With ad block on, I just ignore them since they dont appear there anymore. It’s the same case eitherway, and worse if add block is off. My ad block being off wont affect your marketing in any way, and neither will whoever has ad block on and is sure they dont want to pay for porn. Even if redtube goes out of service, the porn that is out there already in numbered in thousands of millions. If all studios were to go out of service, it wouldnt be that large of a hit to us, porn viewers as it would be for money making whores and enterprises.

Jesus fuck man turn off the ad blocker already! Can’t you see you are all going to put the porn companies out of business? I don’t know if they are lying or what but it’s not a risk I am going to take.

Adblock exists because the ad companies are not satisfied by just presenting themselves but keep inventing new ways to piss off the users. Adblock is a reaction to this bad behaviour.

If the ad supported and ad providing services want people to turn off Adblock, they have to start with themselves. Implement a standard for acceptable web ads and make sure to follow it. An acceptable standard is an ad that does not move or make sound, does not pop up or under, does not put itself on top of the content the user want to see, does not try to infect the user malware (may seem obvious but some ad services don’t seem to get this) and does not track the user from site to site.

I am ok with banners or even visiting some of your sponsors if you ask me. But pop-ups are a big NO! They are the most annoying form of advertisement.

Eu costumava baixar alguns videos porno pelo aTube Cacher, mas agora não estou conseguindo
Considero o Redtube o melhor site do genero.
